From 22nd to 26th in August, 8 experts from BSI (British Standards Institute) were invited to conduct a 5-day audit on the operating condition of Occupational Health and Safety Management System (ISO45001:2018) and Environmental Management System (ISO14001:2015).
During the on-site audit, through debriefing, oral questions, document sampling and on-site inspections, the BSI experts conducted random checks and validity check on the implementation of the system standards, including the organizational structure of each department, production process, personnel management, system construction, two-factor identification, risk thinking, etc. . The directors from each department actively cooperated with the on-site audit, listened to the instruction given by experts, and gained a deeper understanding of the high-quality operation of the safety and environmental system.
The audit team gave full affirmation and high evaluation to our progress on the work of occupational health and environmental protection, and also put forward guidance and suggestions for improvement.
During this audit process, Xingtai Steel showed its solid management foundation. For the problems in operating system, the relevant departments will analyze the root causes, make a corrective action plan and learn by analogy to achieve the continuous improvement of the safety and environmental system.
Xingtai Steel has passed the certification of Safety and Environment System issued by BSI for 16 consecutive years. In the future, we will continue to implement the standards of Occupational Health and Safety Management System and Environmental Management System, strengthen risk awareness and grasp the process management to integrate system standards into daily management and further promote the high quality operation of safety and environmental management system.
